Position: Applications/ Field Service Support Engineer

Job Summary:
Handle customers’ demonstrations at factory and travel to customer locations for all on-site installations, startup, diagnosis, service and repair of SEMIgear’s equipment. His/her function as SEMIgear's liaison with customers on administrative, technical, operational, and maintenance issues.

Principal Accountabilities:


Specialized Knowledge:

Ability to: Interface with multiple departments to ensure consistent & effective communication. Build relationships with customers/vendors/department contacts. Organize work. Maintain & distribute reports. Perform preventative Maintenance. Work from complex engineering drawings/schematics/manuals. Work from checklist and procedures. Troubleshoot. Apply ingenuity and logic to resolve complex electronic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical assembly, drive mechanism, and software systems problems for all SEMIgear’s products. Recommend improvements to improve equipment uptime. Maintain technical proficiency on semiconductor equipment.

Knowledge of: Correcting problems concerned with the electronic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, assembly, drive mechanism, and software systems.

Skilled at: Customer service. Microsoft Office. Providing continuous instruction on the proper use, maintenance and repair of our equipment.



Education Requirements:

Preferred Degrees: BSEE, BSEET
Associates degree in Electronics and 6 years experience is also a possibility for this position.
Desired Years of Experience: 4 to 6
